Why do I practice Kundalini Yoga?

I turned to yoga when I couldn’t take the pain anymore. Physical pain, feeling stuck and desperate for change.
Before yoga I was making decisions based what ‘I should do’ not on what ‘I wanted to do’. My soul’s desire was never guiding the way.
I explored various yoga styles and found that Kundalini Yoga is the most potent and accessible type of yoga.
Every class uses sound vibration, breath work, asanas, relaxation and meditation. Each of these are healing practices on their own and when combined the benefits are so much greater.
The same set is done for at least 40 consecutive days. According to Kundalini Yoga it takes 40 days to change a habit.
The set you choose is based on what you need to work on in your life. There’s a set for everything.
I learned that having a specific set to support me as I was trying to change things in my life was the fuel, the healing and the repetition I needed.
All I needed to know was that if I showed up for my practice every day, change and healing will happen and it did.
Kundalini Yoga is also accessible. Most classes can be done in 30-45 minutes. The postures are accessible and modifications are offered.
My awareness has expanded and continues to expand as a result of my daily practice. There’s a deeper knowing of what I need to do. Fear takes the back seat. Peace, focus, purpose and sweetness are leading the way.
